Your new patient appointment at Modwena Dental is £100 - and it's far more thorough than a standard check-up at most practices. Here's what's covered:

  • 30 minutes of dedicated clinical time - unhurried and focused entirely on you
  • Full oral health assessment - your teeth, gums, and soft tissues examined thoroughly
  • Digital X-rays where clinically needed, to pick up anything not visible to the naked eye
  • Intraoral scanning using our iTero scanner - a comfortable, precise 3D picture of your mouth
  • A personalised treatment plan - based on your individual needs, not a template
  • An open conversation about any concerns, questions, or treatments you're interested in

Frequently asked questions about booking in Stoke on Trent

How quickly will someone call me back?

We aim to call back all enquiries within one working day. If you submit your request outside of our opening hours - Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm - we'll be in touch first thing the next working day. For anything urgent, please call us directly on 01782 844 720.

Can I request a specific dentist or treatment when I book?

Yes - just mention this in your booking request and we'll do our best to accommodate your preference. If you're not sure who you'd like to see or what treatment you need, that's absolutely fine too - just tell us what's on your mind and we'll point you in the right direction.

What if I need to see someone urgently?

If you're in pain or have an urgent dental concern, please don't wait for a callback - call us directly on 01782 844 720. We'll do our best to see you as quickly as possible. For out-of-hours emergencies, call NHS 111 or visit your nearest A&E if swelling is affecting your breathing or swallowing.

Do you see NHS patients?

Yes - we offer both NHS and private treatment at Modwena Dental. When we call you back, we can discuss what's available to you under NHS provision and what the private options are, so you can make an informed choice before your appointment.

Is the £100 new patient appointment fee refundable?

The consultation fee is payable at the time of your appointment and is non-refundable. However, the value of what's included - a full clinical assessment, digital scans, and a personalised treatment plan - is considerable, and patients consistently tell us how much they get out of it.

I'm nervous about coming to the dentist - what should I do?

Tell us when you book. Genuinely - the more we know upfront, the better we can prepare for your visit. Several members of our team have a particular interest in helping nervous patients, and IV sedation is available in-house for patients who need extra support. You won't be judged, and you won't be rushed.
